Happy Father’s Day

Father's Day is more than just a day to gift socks or ties; it’s a meaningful occasion to recognize every special father figure in our lives. Whether it's a stepfather who stepped up to guide and protect, a grandfather who passed down wisdom, or a mentor who became like a dad, these figures shape us in priceless ways. From my personal experience, one of the most memorable Father’s Day celebrations I had was with my stepfather. Instead of traditional presents, we spent the day sharing stories and lessons he had taught me—simple but profound teachings, often referred to as “Mister Miyagi moments,” that shaped my character, such as patience and respect. Grandfathers also deserve unique recognition for their role in family history and heritage. Granddad’s stories about the past or teaching me to use chopsticks correctly were small but valuable lessons I cherish. It’s important to acknowledge that father figures come in many forms, and every effort to express gratitude goes a long way. When thinking of gifts or ways to celebrate, consider what truly represents appreciation for the person’s influence in your life. A personal note, a shared meal, or a thoughtful gesture can communicate respect and love better than generic gifts. On this Father’s Day, take a moment to thank those who protect, guide, and inspire us, no matter their title.
