Going to my first F1 race!

🏁We bought these tickets literally 5 days before the event started. Monday evening we got a call from my mother in law telling us how much the tickets went down and how she would give us some cash for Christmas to help us go. We thought going to a race anytime soon was impossible so… we used all our hotel and airline points to make it out to this race!

✈️We flew out Thursday and got to watch qualifying and the race, with incredible views of the Sphere! There were a lot of stressful moment because this trip was so last minute, like thinking we had 3 day passes but turns out we only had them for Saturday, so we had to rush and get some for Friday, and me thinking I lost my purse not once, but twice during the trip with my ID in it. But we made everything work!

🏁I know going to something like this and spending a lot of money is seen as dumb to other people, but this truly was a once in a lifetime experience for us as huge F1 fans, and we had such an amazing time!

My 5th 5K, and my 5th race ever, I managed to get 1st place in my age group. My pace was 9:55, 30:47 from chip timing. I thought my time was going to be so bad because I had been knocked off my routine due to pulling my hamstring three weeks ago, but it turned out to be better than my running time.
