top 2 ways i maintain my routine while traveling ✈️

i love traveling and experiencing new cultures ! that said, i still like to maintain my normal routine as much as possible even when im away from home

my top 2 habits i bring with me are movement & nutrition —

i’ve never been a huge foodie so im not typically someone who travels to try new foods, “pig out” because im on vacation, or stray from foods i eat at home. that said, if there’s something that interests me to try, i 100% will !

if my hotel has a gym, i will figure out some sort of workout i can do before getting my day going. if my hotel, airbnb, or place im staying doesn’t have equipment, ill do a weightless workout in my room ! one tip is to bring a booty band wherever you go !! and if you have space, you can even squeeze in some ankle weights to intensify your movement !!

i also prioritize WALKING !! especially if you’re going on a trip where you’re exploring a new city, do not underestimate how much walking you’ll be doing !!!

for food — i still definitely try to hit my general macronutrients to balance my plate: protein, fat, carb, and fiber ! buffet style makes this a lot easier because you can actually hand select which foods you want, however, if you’re ordering off a menu, most protein options come with a side of carbs and/or veggies. for fat !! you can pack some nuts with you for a snack option, add avocado to your meals, and rely on the fat sources your protein is cooked in !

there are many more tools i like to include, but these are my top 2 most important !!

... Read moreTraveling often means a break from our regular schedules, but it doesn't have to lead to unhealthy habits. Maintaining your routine while on the road can enhance your travel experiences. One of the best strategies is to incorporate physical movement into your day. Whether it’s a morning workout in your hotel gym, a quick weight-free session in your room, or simply taking long walks to explore the city, staying active boosts your energy and mood. Nutrition also plays a key role in maintaining your health while traveling. Focus on a balanced intake of macronutrients — protein, fats, carbohydrates, and fiber. This can be achieved by making mindful food choices, such as seeking out buffets where you can select healthy options or packing helpful snacks like nuts and avocados. Moreover, remember to listen to your body and adapt to your travel schedule to maintain wellness. By prioritizing movement and nutrition, you'll not only enjoy your travels more but also return feeling rejuvenated.
