4 FAT LOSS tips you NEED to know

4 things you NEED to know before trying to lose weight 👀 believe me… if i had known this before i lost 25 lbs, it would’ve been soooo much easier 🫶🏼

1️⃣ you can’t spot reduce fat

i knowwww… we all want arms or stomach first. i’ve been there too. but you can’t choose where fat comes off. fat loss happens from an overall calorie deficit over time. strength training can help you build muscle in those areas, but the fat loss itself isn’t targeted !! PATIENCE is key here

2️⃣ volume eating is your best friend

when you’re in a deficit, you want the MOST food for the least calories. load up your plate with low cal veggies to stay full and satisfied. “low or zero cal” foods can be super helpful for curbing cravings without blowing your calorie goal !!

3️⃣ zone 2 cardio + walking > endless hiit

hiit isn’t bad, but it’s not magic for fat loss. zone 2 cardio + daily steps are way more sustainable, help you burn fat efficiently, and don’t wreck your recovery. sweating more doesn’t always mean better results

4️⃣ CONSISTENCY beats everything

not seeing progress fast doesn’t mean it’s not working. real body change takes TIME. constantly switching workouts or diets keeps you stuck. find a plan and commit to it for at least 3–4 months before deciding it “doesn’t work”

there’s sooo much conflicting info online, so i get the confusion. i tried literally everything !!!! multiple hiit classes a day, eating as little as possible, thinking more meant better. believe me, it DIDNT 🙃

working smarter, not harder, changed everything for me

... Read moreFrom my personal journey of losing 25 pounds, I can say that understanding how fat loss really works made all the difference. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that fat loss is a whole-body process. It’s tempting to want to target just the belly, thighs, or arms, but unfortunately, your body decides where fat comes off first — patience is everything here. To stay full and satisfied while in a calorie deficit, I found “volume eating” extremely effective. Filling my plate with low-calorie vegetables helped curb hunger without going over my calorie goals. Including foods that are low or zero calorie became a strategic hack in managing cravings on days I struggled. Regarding cardio, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) classes feel intense but aren’t necessarily the most effective for fat loss. Instead, I observed great benefits from consistent zone 2 cardio — a moderate-intensity level where you can still talk but feel your heart working — plus daily walking. This approach boosted fat burning without compromising my recovery or energy. Most importantly, consistency was the game-changer. It’s easy to get discouraged by slow progress and jump between workouts or diets, but sticking with a sustainable plan for at least 3 to 4 months gave my body time to adapt and change. There’s a lot of conflicting info online, but working smarter — not harder — transformed my approach to fat loss. Remember, quick fixes are rare, but with the right mindset and habits, sustainable change is possible. Keep these tips in mind and commit to a plan that feels right for your lifestyle. Your future self will thank you!
