10 things I think are actually worth paying for.

Don't scrimp on these!

1. I've gone to Zhiqing at Lash Blossom for literally over a decade now. My natural lashes are still strong and thick because she's so gentle and uses only good stuff!

2. So many of my friends and family go to Fannie @hairpagebh too now! She has been working my hair for over a decade now too. Going once could be a product of my influence, but for them keep going to her for years now is a testament to her skill and level of service.

3. I may be biased buttttt. Are these the most comfortable, luxuriously soft, value-for-money best shoes in the world? @SQUEE shoes for every occasion and fit.

4. You guys know my favourite brand *ahem*

5. I have so many sets of @Selenightco PJs and I work, chill and live in these when at home!

6. Ooops. 🙈 But truth.

7. It's the reason I founded @KakiKaki Live and why I love travelling to Italy so you can discover these too!

8. I value quality pieces with thoughtful, considered design. I love artisanal brands I've discovered in Paris, and locally, @Lara & Ela are one of my favourites.

9. I stay fit and try to live healthily, and this just helps with overall maintenance in the same way.

10. You'll super get this if you've even been on the bad side of it! 🙈

... Read moreOver the years, I’ve come to realize that spending money wisely means prioritizing quality over quantity, especially for things we use daily or that enhance our wellbeing. For instance, investing in professional eyelash extensions done by a skilled artist like Zhiqing at Lash Blossom ensures not only a natural and fuller look but also preserves the health of your lashes. The gentleness and quality products used mean your eyelashes stay strong and beautiful, which saves money in the long run by avoiding damage. Similarly, choosing a trusted hairstylist such as Fannie at Hairpage Common Ground is about more than just a haircut; it’s about personalized care and maintenance that keeps your hair healthy and stylish over time. Many people underestimate how much a good hair professional can influence confidence and hair health. When it comes to footwear, I can personally vouch for SQUEE shoes being the epitome of luxurious softness and comfort. Their lambskin insoles and careful craftsmanship not only make them feel like a dream but also last far longer than cheaper alternatives, providing true value. Comfort at home matters too—my collection of Selenightco pajamas shows how investing in quality sleepwear enhances relaxation and daily comfort. Soft, breathable PJs can really elevate your downtime. Last-minute travel bookings are often pricier, but sometimes, the convenience and opportunity they provide are priceless—saving time and unlocking experiences worth the extra cost. Another passion of mine is artisanal leather goods, especially from Italian brands I’ve discovered through my travels. These unique leather bags not only carry your essentials but tell a story of craftsmanship and heritage, transforming an everyday item into an elegant statement. Locally, brands like Lara & Ela reflect thoughtful design and quality, which I always appreciate when looking for pieces that uplift any outfit while standing the test of time. For personal health, tools or services that support fitness maintenance are an investment in your long-term wellbeing. I find that a small expense on quality fitness aids or treatments can prevent larger health costs down the line. Lastly, durable luggage is something many overlook until a suitcase breaks mid-trip. Investing in reliable luggage means peace of mind as you navigate cobblestone streets, crowded airports, or unpredictable travel conditions—something anyone who’s dealt with damaged luggage can relate to. In my experience, being intentional about where you spend your money—favored services, quality comfort, artisanal design, and durability—not only brings joy but also reduces stress and saves money with fewer replacements and repairs down the road. It’s all about valuing what you use and love every day.
