Transparency post: 3 Month Life Update 🌿
Heyy Beautiful People! It’s been a minute since Jalloween series & initially my goal was to take a break and come back around Thanksgiving. However, life had other plans. I had feeling things on Lemon8 were going to change but i had not expected the app to eventually be deleted then eventually banned with the Tiktok merge. To keep it cute, as there is so much I want but can’t say about this issue. As a recognized Lemon 8 Wellness creator. I was not happy about it.
So, as a resilient pivoter, that I am. 2025 doesn’t change that lol, if anything it encourages it. I had to take time to reflect and reset. I felt called to return to Youtube and create a new account called Jalloh Reborn. Where I dust off my oracle decks and give guidance on various wellness & spiritual topics.
I also was introduced to Substack through the great social media exodus lol. My substack is called “The Retired Elder Daughter”. Where I repurpose my Lemon 8 wellness content and share new articles on reflections as I heal from trauma and accept the blessings that come with being the oldest daughter.
I will post both platforms below this post for quick access as they are both near and dear to me as labor of passion & love. I am hoping to migrate all 887( at the time of this posting) of you lemon8’ers over to my new platforms.

Wow, it feels like just yesterday I was diving deep into my creative flow, and then suddenly, life throws a curveball! You know that feeling when things just aren't aligning anymore, and you need to hit the reset button? That's exactly where I found myself a few months ago after realizing the landscape of my beloved Lemon8 community was shifting. It wasn't an easy decision, but sometimes, pivoting again is exactly what's needed for growth. I poured so much love into my content here, and seeing it potentially disappear with app changes was a wake-up call. It made me reflect deeply on what truly matters: connecting with you all and sharing valuable insights. So, instead of dwelling on what might be lost, I channeled that energy into creating new spaces where our community can thrive, unhindered. This entire experience has been a testament to resilience and embracing new beginnings. My heart has truly been calling me back to YouTube, but with a fresh vision! I'm so excited to introduce you to Jalloh Reborn, my new channel. Here, I'm dusting off my favorite oracle decks and diving into insightful spiritual guidance and wellness topics. It’s a space where we can explore deeper spiritual connections, tap into our intuition, and really nurture our inner selves. I’ve been getting more in touch with my spirituality & gifts, even exploring practices like Reiki, and I can't wait to share those discoveries with you through long-form videos and shorts. It’s such a joy to watch this new space grow, and seeing the subscriber count slowly tick up is incredibly motivating! Then there’s my Substack, The Retired Elder Daughter. This platform offers a different kind of connection, a more intimate space for written reflections. For anyone who resonates with the journey of healing from past experiences or navigating the unique blessings and challenges that come with being an 'oldest daughter,' this is for you. I'm taking all my wellness content from Lemon8 and expanding on it, sharing deeper articles about trauma healing, personal growth, and self-discovery. It’s where I get to be truly transparent about my journey, exploring topics like why 'You Get 4 New Years Every Year' – it’s about constant cycles of renewal and self-improvement. This whole transition has also meant a personal shift in how I engage with social media. I've significantly reduced my social media consumption, which has honestly been so liberating. It's amazing how much more space it creates for cozy hobbies like Sims Free Play (yes, I'm still obsessed!) or just enjoying simple pleasures like solo dates with fresh flowers and people-watching. It's all about finding those moments of peace and joy that nourish your soul. This isn't goodbye to Lemon8 entirely; I'll still be popping in here and there until May to keep you updated.
