Biblically, this is a strong warning about human accountability before God. Let us look at what Scripture teaches.
1. God Has Revealed Himself to Everyone.
The Bible says in Epistle to the Romans 1:20 (KJV):
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
This verse teaches that God has already given humanity evidence of His existence.
Through creation—
• the heavens
• the earth
• the order of nature
• life itself
God’s power and divine nature are visible. Because of this revelation, people cannot claim ignorance of God.
Creation itself testifies that there is a Creator. 🌎✨
Therefore, on Judgment Day, no one will be able to say, “I did not know there was a God.”
2. God Knows the Heart
The second verse says in Book of Proverbs 24:12 (KJV):
“If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?”
This passage reveals two important truths:
1 God sees the heart.
People may hide sin from others, but nothing is hidden from God.
2 God judges righteously.
Every person will be judged according to their deeds.
No excuse, no deception, and no hidden motive will escape God's perfect knowledge. ⚖️
3. The Reality of Judgment Day
The Bible teaches that a day is coming when all people will stand before God. On that day:
• excuses will not work
• self-justification will fail
• comparison with others will not matter
The only question will be: Did you respond to the truth God revealed?
4. The Gospel: Our Only Hope
While these verses warn about judgment, the Bible also gives hope. ✝️
God provided salvation through Jesus Christ. Those who repent and believe in Christ are forgiven and justified before God.
The same Bible that warns about judgment also invites us to receive mercy today.
✅ The message is simple:
• God has revealed Himself.
• God knows our hearts.
• God will judge righteously.
• But God also offers salvation through Christ.
So the time to respond is now, not on Judgment Day.
