DEINFLUENCING: popular baby products

2025/5/20 Edited to

... Read moreDeinfluencing has emerged as a powerful trend, encouraging consumers to reconsider their purchases, especially for baby products that often come with hefty price tags. Many parents find themselves overwhelmed by the array of products marketed as essential for newborns. However, insights from experienced parents reveal that several popular items may not live up to their promises or practicality. For instance, consider the Momcozy Wipe Warmer. While it sounds convenient, many users report that it dries out wipes and complicates diaper changes. Similarly, the Changing Pad for dressers—though positioned as an Amazon's Choice—often sits unused as parents gravitate toward simpler solutions like changing their baby on the floor or bed. Another highly bought item is the Stroller Organizer, which some parents deem clunky, making stroller folding a hassle. Instead, versatile options that do not hinder mobility tend to be favored. Lastly, the 20 Bottle Warmer, despite being labeled a best seller, may be impractical for parents on the go, as it works better at home than in transit. Overall, understanding which baby items to skip can not only save money but also improve convenience and comfort for new parents during their journey.

The momcozy is best for certain wipe brands as not all are created equal, and never let it go less than 1/4 of what can go inside it. Bottle warmers suck. Plus, it’s best for baby to learn to drink it room temperature or cold as certain situations can occur and babies can be picky. Also yeah, no to stroller organizers! I used the changing table myself, but not until my baby was older, as the first six months were done bedside on changing pads + incontinence pad on top.

My son is 2 and I still use my wipe warmer every single day. What I’ve noticed is certain wipes dry out in the warmer. So the ones that stay wet are the pampers PURE and Costco Kirkland wipes. Now the issue with the Kirkland is, they have more wipes in each pack than the average wipes u get from the supermarket. So they don’t fit initially lol
