For the past 4 years, my birthday outfits were made for adventure — airports, sneakers, and exploring new places.
This year, I stayed home and chose a self-care week instead.

Over the past four years, I have cherished celebrating my birthdays with adventure-themed outfits, taking me through exciting journeys to places like Belize in 2023, Athens, Greece in 2024, Costa Rica planned for 2025, and Texas in 2026. Each celebration felt like a mini escape, blending fashion and exploration, with airport vibes and comfortable sneakers as staples. However, this year marked a different approach—opting to stay home and dedicate a full week to self-care. Contrary to expectations, this shift didn’t lessen the joy but instead deepened my appreciation for meaningful, slower celebrations. Rather than the hustle of travel and outfit preparation, focusing on mindfulness, relaxation, and personal well-being created a fresh kind of happiness. Choosing self-care over external adventure has allowed me to reconnect with myself in new ways.
