Dancing helps with my anxiety no bullshh. I genuinely have to go off and get myself together and dancing is my scapegoat #jastinations

5/20 Edited to

... Read moreFrom my own experience, when anxiety hits hard, sometimes traditional methods like deep breathing or meditation just don’t cut it immediately. That’s when I turn to dancing—it’s almost like pressing a reset button on my mood. Even when I’m in the middle of a busy day or stuck in an unlikely space, I’ve learned that taking a brief moment to move my body and dance, even if just for 30 seconds, can make a huge difference. It might sound simple, but the combination of music and physical movement floods the brain with endorphins and helps redirect my mind away from anxious thoughts. I remember once being in a cramped bathroom where I felt overwhelmed. Instead of succumbing to the anxiety, I embraced the moment and did a quick dance. That little act of self-care instantly lifted my spirit and helped me gather my thoughts. It’s empowering to know that no matter your surroundings, you have a tool at hand to regain composure. If you’re someone battling anxiety, I encourage trying this: pick a favorite upbeat song on your phone, find a small space—even if it’s a bathroom stall—and dance freely. The practice doesn’t have to be choreographed or perfect; it’s about freeing up your mind and body. Dancing can be a surprisingly effective personal remedy and a way to reconnect with yourself in the midst of stress.
