this is no hate against lottie either I love her videos but i want to share my perspective and love to have conversations about it. #momlife #motherhood #mom #girlmom #toddlermom
As a parent, one of the ongoing challenges I've encountered is navigating the fine line between teaching generosity and setting healthy boundaries for my children when it comes to sharing. While I deeply value kindness and empathy, I've learned through experience that it’s equally important for my kids to understand that not everything must be shared, especially when it comes to their personal belongings or things they’ve earned. I remember a situation with my toddlers where neighbors' kids expected constant sharing, which led to some stressful moments. I realized this wasn’t about being selfish but about teaching respect for personal property and understanding that generosity isn’t an obligation, but a choice made from a place of gratitude. This approach has helped my children develop a more balanced attitude toward sharing—one that respects others yet acknowledges their own needs. Additionally, having conversations about entitlement has been crucial in our household. It’s easy for kids to misunderstand the difference between what is 'shareable' and what should be kept as personal space or items. Explaining this clearly and consistently has helped foster mutual respect among the kids and their peers. Ultimately, motherhood is a journey that involves a lot of personal reflection and adapting parenting philosophies that work best for our family's unique situation. I appreciate communities where moms can share their perspectives without judgment, as it opens up opportunities for growth and better understanding. Looking forward to hearing how other parents balance these nuances in #momlife and #motherhood!
