april’s reminders✨

It reminded me that the relationships which support us without conditions are the strongest anchors in dark moments. One powerful lesson is acknowledging that disappointing others occasionally is part of life, but consistently disappointing yourself to protect others' feelings can be harmful. Prioritizing your safety and well-being is not selfish—it’s necessary. I also learned that facing trauma and consciously unlearning harmful behaviors associated with it is demanding but essential for healing. This process may not be quick, but each step forward builds resilience and self-understanding. In dealing with grief, it became clear that not everyone will fully grasp your experience or the way you process your emotions. However, their lack of understanding does not diminish the validity of your feelings. Allowing yourself to feel without judgment is an important part of healing. Lastly, I embraced the truth that sometimes you must accept you’ve done your best, even when more effort seems possible. This acceptance, though difficult, is crucial for mental health and self-compassion. Moving into May, my hope is to maintain this balance and extend kindness toward myself, recognizing that healing is a journey, not a destination.
