outlast trials

... Read moreHey fellow Reagents! I've been spending a lot of time in the terrifying world of Outlast Trials lately, and let me tell you, it's been a wild ride. If you're anything like me, you've probably faced more than a few terrifying encounters and are constantly looking for ways to just... survive. I wanted to share some personal tips and tricks I’ve picked up that have seriously upped my game and helped me navigate the horrors of Murkoff. First off, stealth is your absolute best friend. Seriously, don't underestimate the power of crouching and staying out of sight. I learned this the hard way trying to rush into areas, only to get instantly spotted and chased down by one of those terrifying ex-pops. Always scout ahead, listen for enemy footsteps and dialogue, and use cover. Dark spots are your haven, but don't get too comfortable, as some enemies have infrared vision. My personal strategy is to always have an escape route in mind, even when I'm just creeping through a corridor. One of the most nerve-wracking parts for me was trying to Reach the Security Room in the early trials. It felt like every corner was guarded! What I found most effective was patience. Don't sprint unless you absolutely have to. Sprinting makes a lot of noise and drains your stamina, which you’ll desperately need to escape if things go south. When you're near a key objective like the SECURITY ROOM, take a moment to observe patrol patterns. Often, there's a small window of opportunity to slip past or distract an enemy with a thrown bottle. I remember one time I managed to sneak right past a Pouncer by throwing a bottle down a hallway, creating just enough diversion to get through the door. And speaking of things going south, let's talk about getting Injured. It's inevitable in Outlast Trials, but how you react makes all the difference. Always try to carry at least one healing syringe. If you get hit, don't panic and try to heal in the open. Find a safe corner, a locker, or even under a bed if you can, before you use that precious syringe. Moving while injured slows you down and obscures your vision, making you an easier target. If you're playing with friends, communicate! Call out that you're injured so they can help cover you or draw aggro. I've had countless close calls where a teammate distracted a pursuer just long enough for me to patch myself up. Another crucial tip: manage your resources. Batteries for your night vision and healing items are scarce. Use your night vision sparingly in really dark areas and try to rely on environmental light sources when possible. Don't just pick up everything instantly; sometimes it's better to leave an item until you truly need it, especially if you're already carrying the max. Knowing when to commit to an objective and when to retreat and regroup is a skill you'll develop over time. Every trial is a learning experience, and each death teaches you something new about the enemy patterns or the environment. Keep those tips in mind, and hopefully, you'll survive your next therapy session! Happy haunting!
