This App Is NOT Dead
I keep seeing different posts about how “the app is dead, the app is dead”. “I can’t find people”…mas o menos. Bloop blap bloop. Honestly, it’s the app. That’s Lemon8’s algorithm, if that posts still gets interactions, no matter how long it has been since it has been posted. That post will still be pushed by the algorithm. One of my very first (2nd) post IS STILL DOING NUMBERS ‘til this DAY!
Especially if you are a new account, Lemon8 will not know your interests yet so they will push a ton of random posts into the fyp, new and old. However, I noticed the more I interact with posts that are newer, the more Lemon 8 pushes pages to me that are also interactive and active. You cannot be inactive and expect Lemon8 to push pages your way that are interactive. Trust there are tons and tons of people who post, especially with all these participants challenges going on. The question is does it align with your interest and things you would like to see, which is why it can be hard to interact with other pages and posts. Which makes Lemon8 seem dead…
Compared to when I first join Lemon 8 last year. Wow, it has been a year since I have joined Lemon8 now! Times fliesssss! Oop, like I was saying: compared to when I first join Lemon 8 last year my algorithm wasn’t as active. And I thought the app was dead. I realized when I interact with new pages or active pages, that is what the algorithm pushes towards me. When I interact with old posts and dead pages, the algorithm starts pushing those out to me more as well.
This is just a hypothesis of mine, doesn’t mean it’s true! Does anyone have any guesses on why people think Lemon8 is dead?

ooo i definitely agree and notice the same things as you, interacting is one of the main components to getting active people for sure, i think like you said people interacting with older posts so they see older ones on their page
