post grad hit me like a BUS 🚌🚨

I graduated college in June 2023 and can only say now that I feel somewhat adjusted to post grad life. it’s so hard to navigate the world when it feels so big all of a sudden! the three pieces of advice I have now are:

🗓️ find a sustainable routine and STICK WITH IT! only now, after a year and a half, do I feel like my routine works for me. set aside time for yourself!

🫶 don’t be afraid of surface level relationships. your goal should be to feel less lonely, but you are not expected to find your set “circle” this early in life. small relationships are still good ones!

📱 lots of people discourage social media for good reasons, but finding digital communities actually helped me feel understood. there are so many people and resources out there for you to find!

let me know if you have other tips to share! ⚡️

... Read moreTransitioning from college to the real world can be a daunting experience for many graduates. As you enter this new phase of life, the challenges may seem overwhelming. It’s essential to recognize that you’re not alone in feeling this way. Many post-grads experience similar sentiments, highlighting the importance of establishing a routine that prioritizes your well-being. Incorporating small daily rituals can provide a sense of stability amid uncertainty. Consider scheduling regular self-care activities, whether it's exercise, reading, or simply taking time to reflect. Additionally, networking is vital; don’t hesitate to reach out to your peers and dive into social circles, no matter how casual. Remember that casual relationships can also provide significant support and companionship. Social media can be a double-edged sword; however, it can also serve as a bridge to communities where you find a sense of belonging. Engaging with others who share similar post-grad experiences can be beneficial, offering shared insights and advice that you may find valuable. Numerous online communities cater specifically to graduates navigating these transitional challenges. Ultimately, being proactive in seeking support and cultivating relationships—however small—will contribute to a more fulfilling post-grad experience. Embrace vulnerability; understanding that it's okay to ask for help will only enrich your journey.
