ถ้าใครเสิร์ช “Kamakura” แล้วตั้งใจมาหาของกินบนถนน Komachi-dori บอกเลยว่าวางแผนคร่าวๆ จะช่วยให้ไม่เสียเวลา (โดยเฉพาะวันเสาร์–อาทิตย์คนแน่นมาก) เราแนะนำให้เริ่มตั้งแต่เช้าหน่อย เพราะหลายร้านดังอย่าง Tomoya Kamakura Komachi หรือร้านสตรีทฟู้ดยอดฮิตจะเริ่มมีคิวยาวช่วงสายๆ พอถึงบ่ายบางอย่างก็มีโอกาสขายหมดได้เหมือนกัน สำหรับ Tomoya Kamakura Komachi (ขนมพระใหญ่) จุดที่ชอบคือเลือกไส้ได้หลากหลายมาก ถ้าอยากให้กินง่ายระหว่างทาง แนะนำเลือกไส้ที่ไม่ไหลเยิ้มมากอย่างถั่วแดงหรือมันม่วง แต่ถ้าสายชีสแบบเรา ไส้ครีมชีส/เบคอนชีสคือหอมและฟิน ถ่ายรูปก็ขึ้นมากเพราะตัวขนมทรงพระใหญ่เด่นสุดๆ เคล็ดลับเล็กๆ คือรับขนมมาแล้วหามุม “ยืนกินให้เรียบร้อย” ก่อนค่อยเดินต่อ เพราะที่ญี่ปุ่นโดยเฉพาะแถวคามาคุระจะค่อนข้างเคร่งเรื่องไม่เดินกินบนถนน ถ้าจะเดินสายกินใน Kamakura ให้จัดลำดับจากของคาวไปของหวานจะเวิร์กกว่า เช่น เริ่มด้วยของทอด/ของคาวให้ท้องมีพื้นก่อน แล้วค่อยปิดท้ายด้วยของหวานอย่างมัทฉะหรือขนมพระใหญ่ จะไม่เลี่ยนง่าย และดื่มน้ำตามบ่อยๆ เพราะของทอดและของเสียบไม้กินเพลินมาก เผลอแป๊บเดียวอิ่มเกินจนไปต่อไม่ไหว อีกอย่างที่อยากแชร์สำหรับคนจะมา Komachi-dori คือเตรียมเงินสดติดไว้บ้าง (บางร้านเล็กๆ อาจรับแบบจำกัด) และพกทิชชู่เปียก/ทิชชู่แห้งไว้เช็ดมือ เพราะของกินสตรีทฟู้ดหลายอย่างมีซอสหรือชีส ถ้าไปช่วงอากาศเย็นก็แนะนำพกเสื้อกันลมนิดนึง เดินไปทะเลลมแรงกว่าที่คิด สุดท้าย ถ้าอยากได้ฟีล “หนีเมืองมาฮีลใจ” จริงๆ ลองเผื่อเวลาเดินออกจากโซน Komachi-dori ไปทางทะเลหรือจุดชมวิวใกล้ๆ นั่งพักแล้วค่อยกลับมากินต่อ จะช่วยย่อยและทำให้ทริป Kamakura อร่อยครบแบบไม่เหนื่อยเกินไป
