the next person you meet in heaven ☁️
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A sequel to The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.
The story follows Annie and how the people she meets in heaven slowly reveal pieces of her life, helping her to understand the meaning behind certain things that happened to her.
My biggest takeaway was how this book explored relationships and timing — like how certain people come into your life for a reason, even if you don’t realise it at the time. (makes you think a lot fr!)
Some of my favourite quotes from this book: 🤍
• “The tale of your life is written second by second, as shifting as the flip of a pencil to an eraser. ”
• “At certain moments, when death is close, the veils pull back between this world and the next. Heaven and earth overlay. When they do, it is possible to glimpse certain souls already departed. You see them awaiting your arrival. And they can see you coming.”
• “We don’t realise who else we punish while we’re punishing ourselves.”
