Milk bottle car
This is a very cool piece of history! This vehicle is a custom delivery truck from the 1930s, specifically designed to look like a giant glass milk bottle.
• Company: It was used by Luick Dairy, a famous milk company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
• The Look: The body of the truck was shaped like a bottle to grab people's attention.
This is called "mimetic architecture" or "novelty architecture"—basically, making a building or a car look like the product you're selling.
• Base Car: Underneath that round "bottle" shell, it was usually built on a standard car frame from that era, like a Ford or a Dodge.
Back then, companies loved using these "rolling advertisements" because they stood out on the street and made people smile while they got their milk delivered!
