Self Help Book Review! 📚

⭐️Overall rating: 5/5

👍Pros: This book does a great job of identifying action items to establishing good habits that you will actually WANT to do and getting rid of old ones that don’t benefit you. This is done by using real life, relatable examples, and providing step by step suggestions. The examples used were historic, psychological, sports and pop culture based which was a fun way to stay engaged.

I love how the book has little side notes, graphics and online accessible materials to help reinforce what has been taught. The author did a great job of trying to cater to different learning styles 👏🏾

•• I also love how at the end of the book there are pdfs you can download to read content focused on applying the learnings to your business and as a parent (both of which are very helpful for me as entrepreneur/work at home mom!).

I am also planning to buy this book sometime in the future, because I can see myself going back to in any stage of life I am in. The formatting is easily referencible if I want to go back to a certain topics, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, I find that some self help books aren’t always formatted for that kind of thing.

🤔Cons: There is a lot of material to try to consume, but the author does a stellar job of keeping this in mind and providing tips (and jokes) on how to curb the overwhelmingness we may feel.

✨ Thanks to this book I have a morning regimen I follow that helps get my day started seamlessly, before the chaos of work and family life consume my day 🤪

... Read moreSo, you're thinking about diving into 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear, and wondering whether to grab the paperback book or the hardcover book cover edition? As an avid reader who practically lives by the principles of 'Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results,' I totally get it! Choosing the right format can actually impact your reading experience and how you integrate this incredible guide into your life. Let me share my two cents, based on actually holding and using both versions (yes, I loved it so much I have both!). The Hardcover Experience: A Sturdy Companion for Life-Long Learning When I first got my hands on the hardcover, I immediately felt its quality. It’s substantial, feels robust, and looks fantastic on a bookshelf. The actual hardcover book cover itself, often in that iconic vibrant green, really makes a statement. It feels like a keeper – something you’ll want to revisit over and over again, truly a 'BOOK TO READ AT ANY AGE.' For me, the hardcover is perfect for deep dives at home. It lays flatter on a desk if you're taking extensive notes or going through the exercises. It feels like an investment in yourself, a solid reference for 'An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones.' If you’re someone who treasures physical books, enjoys the tactile experience of a well-made volume, and plans to reread it for years, the hardcover is definitely worth considering. It’s durable enough to withstand countless re-readings and highlight sessions without falling apart. The Paperback Experience: Your Portable Habit-Building Partner The paperback edition, on the other hand, is all about practicality and portability. It’s lighter, more flexible, and slips easily into a bag or backpack. This is my go-to for reading on the go – whether I’m at a coffee shop, on public transport, or just lounging on the couch. The paperback book is often more affordable, which makes it a fantastic entry point if you're curious about the book but not ready to commit to a higher price point. Don't let the softer cover fool you; it's still a well-made book. For me, the paperback is ideal for quick reference, especially when I need to quickly flip back to a specific concept or reminder during my day. It's the perfect companion for anyone who wants to integrate 'Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results' into their daily routine, no matter where they are. Which One Should YOU Choose? Honestly, both editions deliver the same life-changing content. The choice really comes down to your personal preferences and how you intend to use the book. Choose the Hardcover if: You want a durable, beautiful edition for your home library, you plan on making it a foundational reference book, or you prefer a more substantial feel while reading and note-taking. It also makes for a fantastic gift that feels premium. Choose the Paperback if: You need maximum portability, you're on a tighter budget, or you prefer a lighter book for casual reading and don't mind a bit more wear and tear over time. Ultimately, whether you pick up the atomic habits paperback book or the atomic habits hardcover book cover version, you're getting a gem. The real magic isn’t in the cover, but in the actionable advice James Clear provides to help you build good habits and break bad ones. My 'Honest Review' is that either way, you're in for a transformative read that provides 'An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones.' Just pick the one that feels right for you, and get ready to see some remarkable results!
