Read the Bible in 1 Yr -Lemon 8 Made Me Do It Pt 2
OVERVIEW: I forgot how I found out about it, and I wish I can tag the person who originally posted about it, but I was on here and someone mentioned a bible reading plan that will help you read through the Bible in the year. At that time it wasn’t a goal of mine but God put it on my spirit to do it.
So I did and I even brought a friend with me! 💗 She is still making her way through it & we plan to go to the Bible museum and Washington DC once she is all done.
TESTIMONY✨: I started a little late during the last year and finished up in January and it CHANGED MY LIFE!! I am currently in the middle of reading it again
I got closer to his people by:
1) Finding podcasts that I can learn from and that I genuinely enjoyed (post to come later on that)
2) I attended church more regularly and joined a small group,
3) Stopped doing this activity that was actually hindering my progress and I feel 100000% better now
4) Found an online church I really enjoy and have tentative plans to go see in person this year
5) Found a Christian counselor to help me through lamenting a loss that I had trouble coming to terms with
6) Started reading faith based books that weren’t pushy on religion and were genuinely more like self help books
7) Found some 🔥 Gospel songs (a future post on that later)
8) A better outlook on life & feeling more equipped and hopeful about how to deal with anything life & WHO to turn to —> in turn feeling confident in be able to help others do the same as well
OVERALL: I Highly recommend this to anyone who thought reading the Bible and understanding it would be impossible, this made it very understandable.
I LOVED how our guide, always made sure to point out the “Godshot” which is essentially identifying where we saw God during that day’s reading. Some days were easier than others so it was refreshing to know he was always there & that HE’s WHERE THE JOY IS 🤗
