You won’t fulfill your destiny…

if you’re constantly meeting everyone else’s needs.

I say this with love, because 𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭.

For too long, 𝐈 𝐣𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞. 😣

I carried burdens that weren’t mine to carry.

I let guilt, expectations, and “what will they think?” keep me 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑐𝑘.

I was so busy being who everyone else needed me to be,

That 𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞:

You are 𝑛𝑜𝑡 responsible for other people’s happiness.

You are 𝑛𝑜𝑡 meant to shrink your dreams to make others comfortable.

People pleasing is a heavy debt and most of us are paying interest on it daily.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐨𝐰𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞.

You are allowed to break away from people who try to control, guilt, or limit you.

You are allowed to 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

Because the only one responsible for your happiness…
