Seeing Sea World, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove from the sky was unreal. 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑜 𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑐𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑢𝑝 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒. There’s something about being in the air that shifts your perspective in the best way.
And for me… anytime I’m in the sky, 𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. It’s hard to fully put into words, but it’s always so meaningful, since flying meant so much to him. 🤍
Cami 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠𝑛’𝑡 look too thrilled in the video (I’m pretty sure it’s because mama had to sit up front instead of beside her 😂), but the second we landed she couldn’t stop talking about it!That’s usually how it goes, right? Sometimes the stretch feels uncomfortable in the moment and then it becomes a core memory.

Taking our first helicopter ride as a family was truly a moment that shifted my perspective in ways I hadn't expected. Seeing iconic places like Sea World, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove from above reveals a peaceful side of these parks that you simply can’t experience from the ground. The gentle hum of the helicopter and the expansive views allowed us to feel connected not just to the scenery below but also to each other on a deeper level. I’ve noticed that being in the air often brings a unique calm—a feeling that you’re slightly removed from everyday worries, making it easier to reflect and appreciate the moment. For me personally, flying holds a special emotional significance; it always reminds me of my brother and the joy flying brought him. This emotional connection made the ride feel even more meaningful. My little one, Cami, was initially a bit unsure about the experience, especially since I had to sit upfront with the pilot instead of beside her. Sometimes the unknown or the slight discomfort during new experiences can make kids (or adults!) feel hesitant, but the true magic happens after. As soon as we landed, Cami couldn’t stop talking about the ride, which is a perfect example of how initial nervousness often fades and turns into treasured memories. If you’re thinking about trying something new with your family, I highly recommend a helicopter ride. It’s not just an exciting adventure but also a chance to see familiar places from a breathtaking new viewpoint and create lasting bonds. What’s something new you’ve tried recently that became a special memory? Sharing these experiences helps us appreciate the value of stepping outside our comfort zones. Remember, every new adventure, no matter how small the moment of discomfort may feel, has the potential to become an unforgettable story shared for years to come.
