During my trip to Wutai Mountain, I stumbled upon a super popular spot tucked away in the mountains — Li Xiansheng Country Cuisine (Wuye Temple Branch) — and it completely shattered my stereotype that “scenic areas never have good food.”
The restaurant itself feels simple and unpretentious, nothing like the polished and fancy eateries you’d find in big cities.

This one isn’t cheap — ¥188 a plate — but as Wutai Mountain’s signature mushroom, I had to try.
