Lounge Review: the VIP Lounge at Shanghai Pudong
At 📍Shanghai Pudong Airport, I checked out ✈️China Eastern Airlines’ VIP Lounge No.101.
And honestly—just like Shanghai itself—it did not disappoint.

Not exactly amazing, but the variety was solid and there were plenty of choices. You can definitely fill up before your flight and leave satisfied.
➤ Fruit 🍊: pre-cut oranges, Hami melon, etc.
➤ Salad 🥗: only one type available
➤ Pastries & Baked Goods 🍰: steamed buns, bread, small cakes, mini sandwiches
➤ Hot Dishes 🥩: on that day, they had braised pork and chicken with vegetables—flavor was decent, filling, and fairly balanced
➤ Drinks 🥤: a coffee machine with multiple options, bottled water, sugar-free Coke, plus hot tea you can brew yourself

The lounge is very spacious with lots of seating. Since I went in the evening, it wasn’t too crowded.
• There’s a reading/working area with rows of seats (each with its own outlet), great for focusing.
• There are also semi-private individual seats for a quieter experience.
• Most of the seating is at round tables, perfect for chatting or dining.
• Bonus points: a children’s play area and a unisex toilet.
📝 Overall
China Eastern’s Lounge 101 is absolutely worth a visit. I went in with my Priority Pass, and I’d recommend giving it a try if you have access.
