This year I chose me.

I decided to start my gym journey and commit to getting stronger, healthier, and happier.

Small steps, big goals 💕💪

1/12 Edited to

... Read moreEmbarking on a fitness journey can be both exciting and challenging, especially when you’re committed to making lasting changes. One of the key elements that helped me stay on track was understanding my target heart rate zone. By aiming for a moderate to low heart rate, based on my age and fitness level, I could exercise effectively without overexerting myself. This approach, often referred to as the 'MATRIX 220-Age Mill Target Heart Rate Zone', provided a simple yet powerful guideline to help optimize my workouts. Consistency was another crucial factor. Instead of trying to overhaul my lifestyle overnight, I focused on small, manageable steps—whether that meant adding a few extra minutes to my cardio session or gradually increasing the weights I lifted. These incremental improvements kept me motivated and prevented burnout. Moreover, tracking progress beyond the scale—such as improvements in strength, endurance, and overall wellbeing—gave me a more comprehensive view of my fitness gains. This shift in perspective helped maintain a positive mindset and reinforced my commitment to self-care. Lastly, embracing this journey with kindness toward myself made all the difference. Celebrating small victories and understanding setbacks as part of growth nurtured a sustainable and joyful approach to health. If you’re thinking about starting your own fitness path, remember that choosing yourself and valuing progress over perfection can lead to transformative results.
