My rating: I love the story of finding yourself when all is lost. The way Roman and Iris' love transcends time and memory. I was real sad that she ended up losing her brother. The grief that she had to continue going through even after the war was over. I was not expecting Iris to be the one to take down the God Dacre. I don’t know how I feel about that really. After all that she lost, I guess it was meant to be. But it just felt wrong to me.
I loved how the war aspect was brought to life. The after effects of war was almost the worst part. Especially for those who had no control over their minds.
Overall I enjoyed reading this duology and would highly recommend for anyone experiencing grief. To be fantasy it really showcased grief in a beautiful light.
