Be it trauma, abuse, addiction, etc. we always blame ourselves which eventually turns to hating ourselves. I’m not sure why that’s our natural reaction, but I hope at some point that we rid ourselves of it. Most often, we aren’t to blame or not totally at blame. I hit rock bottom 10 yrs ago and been avidly pursuing healing myself since. Takes 1 bad day and I still struggle to not hate myself. Thankfully with a great deal of effort, those bad days are getting further apart. 🙏🏼
