... Read moreHey everyone! If you're anything like me, keeping track of daily tasks can feel overwhelming sometimes. But guess what? Your iPhone's built-Do List to track everything from daily chores to your creative Lemon8 goals. And the best part? It's completely free and built right into your phone! I've seen so many people asking how to really get the most out of their iPhone's Reminders app, especially when it comes to creating a custom to-do list and adding it right to your home screen. So, let's dive into how you can set up your very own personalized task manager! Step 1: Creating Your First To-Do List in Reminders First things first, open your Reminders app. It’s the one with the colorful bullet points! Once inside, you'll see a section for 'My Lists'. Look for the 'Add List' button, usually at the bottom right. Tap that, and you'll be prompted to name your new list. Give it a catchy name like 'Daily Tasks', 'Lemon8 Content Ideas', or 'Weekend Chores'. This is where your journey to an organized life begins! Step 2: Adding Tasks to Your List – Making Them Disappear is So Satisfying! Now that you have your list, it's time to populate it with all the things you need to get done! Tap on your newly created list. You'll see a 'New Reminder' option at the bottom. Tap that and start typing! I love adding things like 'Write 20 Lemon8 comments' or 'Create Lemon8 content' to keep my engagement on track. You can add as many tasks as you want. Want to add a due date, time, or even a location reminder? Just tap the little 'i' icon next to your task to reveal more options. And the best part? Just like the original post mentioned, once you complete a task, simply tap the circle next to it, and poof! It disappears, giving you that satisfying feeling of accomplishment. Step 3: Customizing Your List – Colors & Icons Galore! Remember how exciting it was to hear about customizing the look of your list? This is my favorite part! When you're creating or editing a list (which you can do by tapping the three dots in a circle at the top right of your list), you'll see options to pick a color and an icon. My iPhone screen often displays a yellow background for my main 'To Do List', but you can choose any color that fits your aesthetic. There are tons of cute icons too – from little stars to tiny monitors (like the pink one I selected for my 'To Do List' in one of my screenshots!). This personal touch makes checking off tasks even more enjoyable and helps your lists stand out. Step 4: Adding Your To-Do List to Your Home Screen (The Widget Magic!) This is the game-changer for many! Having your checklist right on your home screen means you can see your most important tasks at a glance without even opening the app. Here’s how you set up that 'iPhone Reminders widget checklist home screen': Long-press on an empty space on your iPhone's home screen until your apps start jiggling. You'll see a plus (+) button in the top left corner. Tap it. In the search bar, type 'Reminders' and select the app. You'll then be presented with different widget sizes for your Reminders. You can choose a small one for a single list, or a larger one that shows multiple tasks from a specific list. I usually go for the one that displays my 'To Do List' with 'Write 20 lemon8 comment' and 'Create lemon8 content' front and center. Tap 'Add Widget'. Once the widget is on your home screen, you can tap and hold it to rearrange it or even tap 'Edit Widget' to select which specific list you want it to display. Voila! You now have your customized, colorful, and super-functional to-do list right on your home screen. It's such a simple yet powerful way to stay on top of everything, whether it's for #digitalplanning, #TechTips, or just managing your daily life. Give it a try, and let me know how it transforms your productivity!
