July Challenge

Continuing with the #StrongGirlSummer challenge into Week 5 has been an uplifting experience for me. The varied workouts, from knee drive kicks and hammer to W curls to sumo deadlifts and bent-over rows, keep every session engaging and targeted for different muscle groups. Adding in cardio elements like jump rope, overhead knee drives, and even cardio dance parties not only boosts endurance but also keeps my energy high. What I love about this challenge is the balance between strength training and cardio, incorporating practical activities such as taking stairs, step-ups, and lunges that I can easily fit into daily life. The inclusion of dumbbell exercises for tricep extensions, presses, and flies enhances muscle toning. The workouts emphasize rest cycles well with 1 minute of work followed by 20 seconds of rest, repeated over several rounds, making the sessions efficient yet effective. One key tip I’ve found helpful is to focus on proper form during sumo squats to front raises and bent-over rows to prevent injury and maximize benefits. Also, staying consistent by planning daily workouts—whether it’s Monday’s legs or Friday’s full body—supports steady progress. The challenge has motivated me to go on regular walks, take stairs instead of elevators, and add more movement naturally into my day.
