Nishinomiya Shrine stands quietly in the castle town of Takeda, Honcho.

In fact, it is one of the oldest shrines in the city and one of the "Chinju" that has watched over the development of the town ⛩✨

🏯 began in 1307.

It was founded as the guardian of Jobara Todoroki-cho, and then transferred to Tamaki when the Shiga clan founded Tamaki-cho (1307).

In addition, when the Nakagawa clan entered Takeda in Bunroku 3 (1594), it was moved to Honcho along with the maintenance of the castle town.

And in Kansei 9 (1797), both in name and reality, it is said to be "the guardian of the town" and continues to protect the area until now.

It has been worshiped as a symbol of Takeda's development and prosperity since ancient times, and is still familiar to people as "Gion-sama" 🌿

The main deities are three deities known for good fortune, business prosperity and matchmaking ✨

Susanoo-no-mikoto: to ward off evil and to ward off plague (Yasaka-sama and Gion-sama)

Kotoshiro Nushi no Mikoto: Prosperous business and good relationship (Ebisu-sama)

Okuninushi no Mikoto: good luck and good fortune (Daikoku-sama)
