Puppy treats
My yorkie Peso has always been extremely treat oriented so anything we have tried with him he will eat. The ones we constantly give to him are the mini milk bones but lately have been on the blue buffalo bits tender beef.
One thing that I like to do is cut up chunks of celery and freeze them. This is something I’ll give to him to chew on and it helps clean his teeth as well. #PetTreats #lemon8challenge #puppylife #yorkie #puppylove
Finding the perfect treats for My Pet's well-being is a constant quest for any dog owner, especially when you have a small breed like a Yorkie. They might be tiny, but their love for snacks is huge! Beyond the staples I already mentioned, like Mini Milk Bones for quick rewards and Blue Buffalo bits for their natural ingredients, there's a whole world of healthy options to explore that can benefit your little companion. When considering healthy snacks for yorkies, think about what nature provides. Many fruits and vegetables make fantastic, low-calorie treats. Small pieces of apple (without seeds), blueberries, carrots, and green beans are often a huge hit. Not only do they provide essential vitamins, but the crunchiness of carrots can also offer some dental benefits. Just remember to introduce new foods slowly and in small quantities to ensure they don't cause any upset tummies. These natural options are often among the best treats for yorkie puppies, as they are free from artificial additives. For those looking for best chew treats for yorkies, dental health is a major consideration. While frozen celery is a brilliant, simple way to help clean teeth, there are other safe options. Products specifically designed as dental chews for small breeds can be very effective. Look for reputable brands that offer chews appropriate for your Yorkie's size and chewing style. Always supervise your pup with any chew treat to prevent choking hazards. Some owners also find that plain, cooked chicken breast or turkey, shredded into tiny pieces, makes an irresistible FAVORITE TREAT for training sessions. Homemade treats are another fantastic way to ensure your Yorkie is getting wholesome snacks. Simple recipes can include mashed pumpkin (not pie filling!) frozen in ice cube trays for a refreshing summer treat, or small baked oat and unsweetened applesauce cookies. These allow you to control the ingredients, avoiding common allergens or unhealthy fillers. Always double-check that all ingredients are dog-safe before preparing any homemade goodies. Lastly, remember that moderation is key. Even the healthiest treats should only make up about 10% of your Yorkie's daily caloric intake to prevent weight gain. Every yorkie snack should be a thoughtful choice, contributing to their overall health and happiness. By diversifying their snack options with healthy, safe, and engaging choices, you can keep your furry friend excited for treat time while looking after their well-being.
