Four legs are cute, not enough sleep as well.
More than half of the behavioral problems I experienced were caused by inadequate rest of the dogs, perhaps not enough hours (dogs need about 15 hours a day) or poor sleep quality (often disturbed, stressed, insomniac), and not enough rest resulted in a variety of behavioral problems, and instead did not get enough sleep to become a whirlpool of behavioral problems.
From this whirlpool, let's see how to deal with it.
🎯 Reduce daytime stress.
✅ Avoid triggers: Avoid things we know affect dog stress, such as stop punishing dogs, refrain from walking, refrain from taking to dog parks, refrain from seeing other dogs.
✅ Increased brain relaxation activities: Activities such as "sniffing walks," lickmats, food toys, and gnawing toys are self-calming and stress-reducing activities.
✅ inviting dogs to sleep during the day: even during the day they need sleep because dogs need more sleep than us, so don't forget to provide them with a peaceful space to sleep during the day.
✅ Reward Calm: When a dog lies down on its own during the day, seeking an opportunity to sneak food in front of him as a reward by being careful not to get up, to help tell him that what he's doing is right.
🎯 Increased sleep quality
✅ Create a Safe Space: A dog's sleeping area should be a sanctuary, provide a comfortable soft bed in a quiet area, and low home traffic.
✅ Light and Sound Control: A dark and cold room is best, if difficult to bypass noise, use a fan to drown out sounds that may be suddenly ringing from the outside or another part of the house.
✅ Don't bother Sleeping Dogs: Sleeping Dogs are cute, photogenic, cuddly, but every time we wake him up, even just to pat, we may be interrupting the critical sleep cycle and chilling his sleep.
If these methods are used, but the dog still has restless sleep problems and has problematic behavior during the day, the veterinarian should be consulted because health issues such as chronic pain may be hidden, which is also a common main cause of poor sleep.
