Delicious Rosti (薯饼) @ Blk 210 Hougang Street 21
Had dining at a coffee shop at Kovan, and ordered Rosti (Potato Cake 薯饼) from the stall - Picky Snout.
It doesn't have to wait long for the food, as it is ready in about 5 mins.
Beautiful presentation and succulent golden-brown crispy fried exterior Rosti, with the interior grated potatoes which are pleasantly soft and of light flavour.
You can spread over the white sour cream onto the Rosti which will be more tasty.
Had selected the following 3 Rosti, which are their Signatures in the menu:
1) Signature Saigon Pork with Rosti $12.50
For pork belly lovers. Quite a few big pieces of fragrant and appetizing pork slices. 很正点.
This is my most favourite among the 3.
2) Creamy Mushroom Chicken with Rosti $11.30
The grilled chicken chop with the creamy mushroom sauce is delectable. The meat is tender and served in a bigger piece.
3) Herb & Garlic Pork Sausage with Rosti (Double) $15.50
Though it is just 2 sausages, I am satisfied as they are very thick and chewy, you will feel quite filling after consuming them, on top of the Rosti and a sunny side-up egg. The taste of herb sausage is pleasing and not too strong, I like this type of flavour as it is not salty.
There are various choices of Rosti for your preferences such as Beef Meatball $12.90, Gourmet Sausage $10.00 ~ $15.50, Pork Belly $12.50, Chicken $11.30 or just the Rosti with Egg $8.90.
