... Read moreSince TikTok introduced its daily posting limits on shoppable content in the US market, I've noticed a significant shift in how creators and merchants approach their content strategies. With a cap of 30 shoppable short videos and 60 photo posts per day, the platform clearly aims to reduce the flood of low-effort posts and prioritize quality over quantity. From my experience managing a small business on TikTok Shop, this change pushed me to rethink how I present products. Instead of overwhelming followers with numerous quick posts, I focus on creating engaging, meaningful videos that showcase the value and features of products. It’s less about frequent posts and more about compelling story-telling that resonates with viewers. This also impacts the typical bottom-of-funnel tactics where high-volume product plugs dominated sales funnels. Now, content creators must combine creative appeal with strategic targeting, engaging viewers organically rather than relying solely on shoppable videos. This fosters a more authentic user experience and likely improves conversion quality. Moreover, since not all creators have access to photo posts with shoppable tags, the emphasis is on making each video count. This aligns with TikTok's larger goal of improving the content ecosystem by incentivizing creativity and deeper engagement. Overall, these posting limits encourage us to balance promotional content with genuine connection, helping build trust with followers. For creators willing to adapt, it presents an opportunity to refine their brand voice and innovate with content formats that go beyond just selling products. I've found that this approach not only complies with TikTok’s evolving rules but also boosts my shop’s long-term success.
