Malaysian live in Singapore 🇲🇾🇸🇬

... Read moreLiving as a Malaysian in Singapore is a unique journey filled with both challenges and exciting experiences. I find that maintaining my cultural roots while adapting to Singapore’s fast-paced lifestyle is both rewarding and enriching. One of my favorite parts of the day is starting with yoga at 10:30 AM, which helps me reset and prepare mentally for the busy day ahead. Food is a big part of my routine too—especially when I get to enjoy specialties like the bagel LUXE with smoked salmon, which never fails to satisfy my cravings. Navigating work in Singapore requires focus, but I’ve learned to set boundaries to balance productivity and personal well-being. Also, staying connected with fellow Malaysians around me creates a comforting sense of community. Another aspect I often share with friends is how Malaysians in Singapore manage to preserve their cultural identity, from language to food, even when they live miles away from home. The blend of cultures adds richness to daily life, and I treasure every moment spent exploring both my heritage and the dynamic environment of Singapore. Whether it’s a yoga class, savoring good food, or navigating city life, this experience shapes who I am today.

why i cried when we moved in
now that my husband and i have finally settled down, i understood why i broke down on the first night living in our own space. it has been a really tough journey as a singaporean citizen + foreigner couple that when it was time to move in together after 9 years together, everything felt so surreal.

Second reno, less mistakes
Our first reno taught us a lot, so this time we planned one year ahead and focused on how we actually live, not just how it looks in photos. Easier cleaning, sockets where we really need them, and lighting that helps us to wind-down. We’ll share everything honestly, and hopefully it helps you
