Dark and Darker Still Book Review

I have been dying to learn the backstory of Vane and Roc. I have also missed hearing Vane’s voice. It was also great getting to know Alice, and a bit more about the Mad Hatter. This book definitely opens doors to getting into Alice’s story, going to Underland and fixing her mistakes. Because we know she did sense Vane and Roc’s Sister is back. This book also gives new insight into Vane and his attitude towards Winnie in the original series. I need more, feed me Nikki St. Crowe!

... Read moreAs a longtime fan of Nikki St. Crowe's work, I found 'Dark and Darker Still' to be a captivating continuation that enriches the original story’s universe profoundly. The backstories of pivotal characters like Vane and Roc really add layers of complexity and emotion to the plot. What I particularly enjoyed was the way the book delves deeper into Vane’s personality and his complex relationship with Winnie, shedding light on motivations that were only hinted at before. What sets this book apart for me is the introduction of more about Alice and the enigmatic Mad Hatter, expanding the narrative's rich lore. The exploration of Underland and Alice’s attempts to correct her past mistakes adds a fresh, thrilling dimension to the storyline. Fans who love dark fantasy and romance will appreciate the nuanced portrayal of characters struggling with internal and external conflicts. From my own reading experience, the pacing is well-handled, and the emotional depth resonates with anyone who enjoys stories about redemption, mystery, and dark romance. Nikki St. Crowe’s writing style makes it easy to stay hooked, making you eager for the next installment. The book also successfully evokes a compelling atmosphere that pulls you into the fantastical world she has crafted. For readers interested in dark romance and fantasy with a twist, uncovering the layers behind Vane, Roc, and Alice’s stories will be satisfying. If you want to join a passionate book community, searching for #darkanddarkerstill and #nikkistcrowe on social platforms can connect you with fellow fans and discussions. Overall, this novel is a must-read for anyone who appreciates a mix of romance, fantasy, and suspense with well-developed characters and a gripping plot.
