The short story "The Life of a Rock"

A worthless rock.

The alarm clock sounded in the darkness. I got out of bed awkwardly. My body was in pain like a big stone pressed on my shoulders. The eyes that looked back from the mirror reminded me:

"I was chasing success until I forgot how to breathe."

For weeks, I spent so much time at work that I didn't even have time to sit down for breakfast, and my belief in my head was always loud: "If I rest, that means I lose."

That night, after delivering my job to my boss, I couldn't get out of my desk anymore, and the world revolved around me before darkness swallowed me up in the eyes of my colleagues.

When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed, the pulse meter rang out at the same time as the void, no one was sitting by the bed, no one was waiting to shake my hand, only a short message from someone I had dedicated my whole life to.

"Can't go. Busy."

For the first time, I asked myself, "Does he really appreciate us?"

What about you...Ever tried to prove yourself for someone to be in this miserable state?

I lay for days without a shadow until I was strong enough to leave the hospital.

I really want to eat curry rice, hot steamed rice and sweet green curry as soon as the rice enters my mouth.

I miss you

When you were alive, you made me eat until I got bored.

When I was alive, I was just gonna call you...

I can't find the time.

Tears flowed without pressure, so I understood that real success is not about making someone accept it.

But "not hurting yourself, coming back to love and paying attention to those who really love us."

Don't wait until the body breaks down, life breaks down, and think about it like me.

Because finally, what we've been running for

Probably next to us today.

Just give us some time to question ourselves.
