Current summer read 🫶
I got this book last year, and planned on reading it last year… well, that never happened! I finally picked this book up because I’ve heard such great things about the sequel. I just started it, so I’m only on page 50, but I have a feeling I’m going to love this story. I want to go by the water and read it🫶🏻
Did you enjoy this book? What did you rate it?
Okay, so I'm only 50 pages into 'Every Summer After' by Carley Fortune, but I can already tell this book is going to be a total summer obsession! The moment I picked it up, the vibe was just right. You know how some books just scream 'beach day'? This is totally one of them. The front cover with its vibrant blue and white design and those two figures jumping immediately transported me to a sunny, carefree place. It’s exactly what I look for when I’m hunting for that perfect beach read. I've seen so many people raving about this one, especially the sequel, and I can already feel why. There’s something so comforting about diving into a story that promises a mix of romance, nostalgia, and maybe a little bit of drama – perfect for unwinding by the water. Honestly, I can't wait to find a quiet spot by the lake or ocean and just get lost in these pages. I even noticed the little bookmark peeking out when I first grabbed it, a subtle reminder that this book is meant for savoring. When I checked out the back cover, I saw some really intriguing quotes from other authors praising it, which always gets me excited. It makes me wonder what kind of memorable lines I’ll highlight myself once I get deeper into the story. Are there specific passages that stuck with you? I'm always looking for those standout sentences that capture a feeling so perfectly. What makes a book a true 'beach read' for you? For me, it’s a story that’s easy to get absorbed in, has compelling characters, and ideally has that touch of summer magic. 'Every Summer After' seems to tick all those boxes so far. The anticipation of seeing how the story unfolds, knowing that many readers have found their favorite quotes within these pages, makes me even more eager to keep reading. The fact that the story is by Carley Fortune also gives me confidence, as her name is often associated with heartwarming and engaging narratives. I'm curious, for those who have finished it, what were your most beloved moments or lines? Did the synopsis on the back cover fully prepare you for the emotional journey? Or perhaps you recall a line that resonated deeply with you from the very beginning? Even the simple design on the spine with the author’s name and title makes it feel like a classic summer staple. I'm really looking forward to experiencing those moments everyone talks about and maybe even finding my own new favorite book quotes to share. Let me know your thoughts!
