These are the days we’ll want back 🚀🥾❤️
We had a little father-son and daughter day out to a local park to play stomp rockets and explore the trails and dry riverbed. Abide had a great time launching them rockets into the sky, finding rocks in the dry river bed, and exploring the trails. Judah had a good nap. What small and special days these are.
Spending quality time outdoors with my kids often creates priceless memories that we cherish forever. Like the day at the park launching stomp rockets, the pure joy on their faces as the rockets soared into the sky made me appreciate the wonders of simple play and nature. Exploring dry riverbeds also turned into an impromptu treasure hunt — finding unique rocks and feeling the sand trickle out of their shoes sparked their curiosity. I’ve noticed that combining physical activity like jumping on trails and creative play like rocket launching is a perfect recipe to engage children of different ages. While younger kids might tire quickly and take naps, the overall experience leaves them feeling connected and fulfilled. One thing I remind myself during these outings is to fully embrace the moment and slow down. When they pick the trail or shout excitedly "You pick!" it reminds me that these small decisions build their confidence and independence. It’s also heartwarming to see expressions of love and even faith, such as saying “In Jesus name” during play, which adds a meaningful layer to our family adventures. Incorporating nature walks with creative toys like stomp rockets is something I highly recommend for parents seeking wholesome ways to bond and build joyful memories outdoors. Not only do the kids get fresh air and exercise, but the shared experiences bring a lasting connection. These are the days we’ll want back—a sentiment every parent knows well when looking at how fast childhood flashes by.
