Me being Me at work 😔

5 days agoEdited to

... Read moreNavigating the workplace can often feel daunting, especially when trying to balance professionalism with staying true to who you are. From personal experience, I've found that expressing your authentic self at work—whether through your style, attitude, or mindset—can lead to greater confidence and job satisfaction. Wearing activewear as a regular outfit choice, for example, not only offers comfort but also empowers me to perform better and feel more energized throughout the day. Participating in challenges like the #lemon8challenge has been an encouraging way to connect with others who value authenticity and self-expression. It reminded me that it’s okay to feel vulnerable sometimes and that embracing these feelings can be a source of strength rather than weakness. I’ve noticed that when I bring my genuine self to work, it opens doors for better communication and collaboration with colleagues. The little things, like choosing bold or comfortable activewear, can make a big difference in setting your mood and attitude. It's about breaking free from rigid norms and allowing your personality to shine through, which ultimately enhances overall productivity and happiness at work. For anyone struggling with being themselves at work, I recommend starting small. Incorporate elements of your personality in your daily routine or dress choices and gradually build more confidence in expressing your unique qualities. Remember, authenticity is a continuous journey, and each step toward embracing your true self is a valuable one.

my whole life i defined consistency as perfection. if i slipped up, missed a day, made a mistake, then in my head i “broke my streak” and had to start all over again (which is super discouraging) but consistency isn’t doing everything exactly right every day. it’s about showing up to the table -
