i fear MANY Christians have forgotten that you can love someone but not love what they do. at the end of the day, everyone will give their own accounts.
worry about your house hold. instead of worrying about everyone else’s walk.
i have family members that are part of this community, but because of my faith, that DOES NOT give me the opportunity to express hate just because she stands for something that i don’t. i just continue to show them the love of Christ.
although when it comes down to how i want to raise MY CHILDREN, they will know what is right. they will also know that it’s not their place to hate anyone or be judgmental because of their beliefs. especially if they don’t align with theirs.
Jesus didn’t comfort anyone’s sin, but instead He showed them grace and mercy. and if we as Christian’s are created in the image of God, then you too, should walk in that. instead of telling members of this community that they’re wrong, they’re living in sin, they’re going to go to hell…
lift them up in prayer. be kind.
i will always stand on a marriage or relationship consisting of a MAN AND A WOMAN. but i will NEVER teach my children to shame others.
at the end of the day, your walk is YOUR WALK. instead of worrying about if others are on track to go to heaven and have a secure relationship in Christ. make sure you’re looking at yourself and your home. because your home is your FIRST ministry.

Many parents who hold strong Christian beliefs find themselves wanting to raise their children grounded in biblical principles while fostering an environment of acceptance and kindness. This approach recognizes the importance of teaching children what the Bible says about relationships and morality, specifically the belief in marriage between a man and a woman, while simultaneously emphasizing the need to love and respect everyone, regardless of their identity.
It’s important to understand that having firm convictions doesn’t mean harboring hate or judgment towards others; rather, it involves teaching children to separate love from approval of behavior. This distinction helps kids develop empathy and avoid the pitfalls of intolerance. Parents can model this by showing grace and mercy—as Jesus did—while holding true to their faith. Encouraging children not to shame or judge others but to lift them up in prayer and kindness builds a foundation of humility and understanding.
The concept of ‘your home is your first ministry’ is pivotal. Parents serve as the primary spiritual educators, and their example influences children’s attitudes toward faith and community. By focusing on their own spiritual walk and cultivation of love in the household, parents better prepare their children to face societal views with confidence and compassion.
Incorporating this balanced perspective means children learn to respect people from all walks of life, including those in the LGBTQ community, without compromising their own values. They are taught that it’s possible to hold biblical convictions while also rejecting hatred and embracing kindness. This approach also fosters peaceful coexistence and helps dismantle stigma often associated with differing beliefs.
Ultimately, raising children with a combination of biblical teaching and authentic love prepares them not just to follow their faith but to live it out in a way that touches others positively. It equips them to be mindful, respectful, and prayerful individuals who understand the depth of grace beyond simple rule-following.
christians stay missing the point of the bible because they don’t understand media literacy comes from understanding what those words mean and they can’t help but take it as verbatim text because it’s easier than being an understanding person.. Jesus would hate this btw
