I redeemed my traumatic birth
DISCLAIMER: This is my story and my experience. I did a TON of research and physical and mental preparation and had multiple different skilled healthcare providers throughout my entire pregnancy and homebirth VBAC. Do your own research. Empower yourself with facts and knowledge, put a plan together, and most of all, birth where you feel the most safe with who you feel safest and always have a backup plan. Birth is often unpredictable no matter what.
Long story super short:
I unknowingly chose the wrong birth team for my first baby and homebirth. I felt like a burden and unsafe during labor and left with no choice but to transfer to the hospital where I was abused, bullied, and coerced into an unwanted c-section and told my pelvis was too small to birth my babies 🙄

No matter your previous experiences, remember that every birth is an opportunity to rewrite your narrative and advocate for yourself and your baby. Empowering yourself with knowledge, preparing mentally and physically, and surrounding yourself with supportive caregivers can dramatically shift your birth experience from fear to empowerment.
