Surviving Harsh Conditions
Some people survive seasons that should have emptied them…
and somehow still become nourishment for others.
That’s sacred to me.
Because not everybody survives hardship without turning cold.
Not everybody experiences drought and still chooses softness.
Not everybody carries pain without pouring it into everyone around them.
But some souls do.
That’s why this fruit stopped me in my tracks.
Kabba fruit grows in harsh conditions.
Dry land.
Heavy heat.
Demanding environments.
Yet its sweetness remains.
And honestly?
That feels deeply ancestral.
It reminds me of the women before us.
The prayers they carried quietly.
The resilience woven into their hands.
The way they survived difficult seasons while still feeding families, loving deeply, creating beauty, and keeping culture alive.
That kind of strength is not loud.
It’s sacred.
And maybe that’s what I see when I look at myself now too.
Not just survival.
But preserved sweetness.
Because there were seasons that could have hardened me permanently.
Seasons that could have made me bitter.
Seasons that tried to convince me exhaustion was my identity.
But my soul chose healing anyway.
And now?
There’s softness in me again.
Wisdom in me again.
Life in me again.
So if you’re currently surviving a dry season, hear me clearly:
Your environment does not get the final say over your spirit.
Some souls were built to survive harsh climates…
and still nourish the world. 🌍✨
