3 EASY WAYS TO KICK START YOUR SUMMER BODY GOALS
Everyone wants to look and feel their best for summer, and many people tend to do extreme, last minute measures in an attempt to achieve a toned look in their bikinis for summer. The extreme diets, weight loss teas, extreme calorie restriction, the list goes on—
Well, I’m here to give you 3 EASY and natural ways to help get toned for summer without having to resort to the extremes—
🚶🏼♀️CREATE A DAILY STEP GOAL
One of the easiest, most effective ways to sustainably create bodyfat loss is to increase your daily movement. Creating and hitting a step goal each day will help you burn more calories effortlessly while also getting the added benefits of increased steps/time outside in the sunlight/fresh air. Hitting 8-10k steps a day is easy to track, and easy to accomplish. Simply track it using your health app on your phone, and walk walk walk! Store is walking distance? Walk instead of drive. Bored in the house? Take a walk outside! Running errands? Park further away and walk more steps! Elevator/escalator busy? Take the stairs! All of these simple tasks will help you improve weight loss when combined with a few of the other tips I list below
🥗FOCUS ON QUALITY OF FOOD OVER QUANTITY
There’s no need to restrict calories to the extreme. Reducing calories overall is a great idea, however what should be the focus is the QUALITY of foods you eat, not just how much. Eating higher quality, higher nutrient profile foods will help reduce inflammation/bloating, increase satiation/decrease cravings, and will add endless benefits on top such as healthier skin, more energy, less fatigue, and better overall health.
💧SIMPLY DRINK MORE WATER
Majority of society is dehydrated without even knowing it. Dehydration causes inflammation, water retention, and unnecessary stress on our bodies leading us to not look or feel our best. Simply increasing your water intake will help counter these effects and reduce water retention, reduce inflammation/bloating, improve digestion, and have you looking/feeling better in a matter of days. I like to aim for 1/2 gallon per day slowly working up to a gallon per day. Will you pee more? Yep😂But that just tells you you’re doing a great job of staying hydrated to look / feel your best for summer

It's so easy to get caught up in the pressure of "summer body goals," isn't it? We see all these perfect images, and suddenly we're scrambling for last-minute fixes. But what if I told you that achieving your summer body isn't just about how you *look*, but how you *feel*? For me, it's about confidence, energy, and truly enjoying those sunny days. And thankfully, it doesn't have to be extreme! Let's talk more about those daily steps. When I first heard "8-10k steps," it sounded daunting! My sedentary job meant I was barely hitting half of that. But I found that small changes truly add up. Instead of just parking further, I started taking a 15-minute walk during my lunch break. If I'm on a call, I walk around the house. On weekends, I explore local parks – there's something so refreshing about being outdoors, maybe even spotting some beautiful yellow flowers along the path! I even got a fitness tracker (my phone works too!) and set a friendly reminder to get up and move every hour. It's not just about burning calories; those walks clear my head, reduce stress, and honestly, help me sleep better. My 'daily steps goal' isn't just a number anymore; it's a commitment to my mental and physical well-being. And the food! Oh, the temptation for quick fixes and restrictive diets. I've been there, and it only leads to feeling deprived and then overeating. My biggest revelation was truly understanding 'quality over quantity.' It's not about eating *less*, but eating *better*. Think about swapping highly processed snacks for fresh fruits and veggies. Instead of a sugary cereal, try Greek yogurt with berries and a sprinkle of nuts. For meals, I focus on lean proteins like chicken or fish, plenty of colorful vegetables (like those vibrant carrots!), and whole grains. I've found that simple meal prepping on a Sunday, like chopping veggies and cooking some lean meat, makes healthy eating so much easier during the week. When you fuel your body with nutrient-dense foods, you naturally feel more satisfied, have fewer cravings, and your energy levels soar. My skin has even thanked me for it! Finally, hydration – the unsung hero! I used to think I drank enough water, but I was probably perpetually slightly dehydrated. Now, my goal is that 1/2 to 1 gallon a day. Sounds like a lot, right? My trick is to always have a water bottle with me. I even infuse my water with cucumber and mint or lemon and berries to make it more exciting. I set hourly reminders on my phone to take a few big gulps. It’s amazing how much better I feel. Less bloating, clearer skin, and I even notice I get fewer headaches. Yes, you'll be visiting the restroom more often (been there, done that in many a locker room!), but that's just your body flushing out toxins and working efficiently. These aren't just "summer body hacks"; they're sustainable lifestyle changes that make you feel incredible year-round. It's about building healthy habits that empower you, not restrict you. So, embrace the journey, enjoy the process, and you'll find that your 'summer body' is simply your healthy, confident self, ready to shine!
