🍋✨🫶LETS GET REAL
***why I go to the gym OTHER than my weight**
1.) Mental health. It makes me feel proud of myself and overall just excited about something which is hard for me.
2.) CONFIDENCE. when I’m being lazy, or making excuses not to go to the gym I can tell I’m just more insecure and have so much less pride in my stride. That confidence that I’m trying to do good for my body is the only reason I’m able to post the above pictures because quiet frankly it’s the opposite of a transformation post 🙃
3.) it’s SO GOOD for your body and life quality. It helps with disease prevention, brain function, signs of aging, and even life span! No need to be upset when you can’t SEE the thin body, skinny waist, or toned booty. Because there’s a lot more happening in your body than just that to be proud of! 💙💗
~so long story short Im posting all of this to hold me accountable and just be real and vulnerable with you guys about what I’ve had to learn with weight and exercise. Say it with me people: WE WORKOUT FOR HAPPINESS, CONFIDENCE, AND SELF HEALTH. Nothing more nothing less. Have fun with it. #embracevulnerability
When it comes to fitness, many individuals focus solely on physical appearance and weight loss. However, understanding the multitude of benefits that exercise brings to mental health and emotional well-being is crucial. Engaging in regular physical activity releases endorphins, which act as natural mood lifters, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. This positive impact on mental health can significantly boost confidence levels, fostering a more positive self-image. Moreover, exercise is not only beneficial for physical appearance but also plays a vital role in disease prevention. Studies have shown that a consistent workout routine can lower the risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. As you engage in workouts, your overall body functions improve, including brain function, which enhances cognitive abilities and slows down the signs of aging. Additionally, exercising promotes better sleep quality, which is fundamental for mental clarity and emotional stability. It encourages a more active lifestyle, reducing sedentary behaviors that can lead to various health issues. In summary, embracing a holistic approach to fitness, where mental health, confidence, and disease prevention take center stage, can transform your experience. Instead of focusing solely on the scale, prioritize how you feel both mentally and physically. Remember, we work out for happiness, confidence, and self-health—an empowering reminder that fitness is about more than just aesthetics.
