Junbi diary: Take the kid to season 5
After today's match is over,
Junbi Competition Project Season 5 is coming to a close at the end.
So I want to take this opportunity to write and summarize what happened over the course of the five-month exercise.
Maybe a little long, but written from the heart.
To give your parents a clearer picture of the work of teachers and the growth of children.
1. What begins to be visible and tangible from the work of the teacher team
From the racetrack atmosphere today.
Many of you also notice that children from many gyms are constantly under pressure.
Both the coaches, the judges and the expectations of the adults around them.
One of the things the Junbi team has always tried to do is
Transform an aggressive and scary area into a safe learning area for children.
In the early days, we reached the stage of "refusing to send children to race."
Until the learning process is clearly designed and confident that what we do
Won't go to hurt a child's heart unknowingly
Until the start of the first season of Junbi Competition Project.
We started redesigning everything from rules, hours of practice, a process of reflection, and looking at "competition" as a joint project of children and teachers.
Honestly, after the first season,
The most obvious thing is the team atmosphere.
Children, teachers and parents who choose to believe and support this approach.
Children begin to understand project-based work.
Know to evaluate yourself
Try to put what is practiced into practice on the field.
Set goals and learn from the results.
But as time passes today,
Especially a kid who's been in the race for several seasons.
What happened "much deeper than that," sir.
Competition isn't just about taking techniques from the practice room to use on the field.
But it turns out to be looking back at yourself from the previous time.
Where did we miss it? What did we underestimate? Are we too worried? Are we fully dedicated?
Many of these weaknesses are not skill matters.
It's a child's habits, personality and way of thinking.
And what's very impressive is that
Children are willing to use "taekwondo" as a self-polishing tool.
To make the next time better than the previous time.
This season, there are many children who see the change very clearly.
Some people a few months ago, we were still sitting with our parents about rehearsal problems.
But in the last month, children can really deal with that problem on the racetrack.
After the race, the teacher came back and said the same thing:
"The kids are really good."
So what happened wasn't just a good learning atmosphere.
But it's a growth path where children get stronger.
2. The learning ecology of junbi linked is a big picture.
Junbi may seem like a "weird thinking" taekwondo gym. 🙂
In the corner of sports.
We don't lose-win center.
We'll invite kids to talk about what they're playing today, how they're using their techniques, what problems they're having, how they're solving them.
No matter what the outcome,
The value of a child is not in coins or points.
But at what he learned along the way,
In the corner of the learning space.
We tried to create other areas in tandem with the gym.
Play room, nature camp, trail running, camping.
The main goal is to increase the EF training area.
And the other goal that is always paired is
👉. Building a bond.
When children spend time traveling, doing activities and living with their teachers,
Teachers will have more opportunities to work with the "heart of a child."
For example, Teacher Cherry intended to spend time with Natjang, Ana and Kenji in camps and out-of-room activities.
When the relationship tightened,
Children talk, they consult and they solve problems along the way.
The result is therefore not a coincidence.
Ana solved the problem of kicking.
Kenji is dedicated to rehearsing to improve speed.
Natchan has a more stable temperament and goal focus.
All of this stems from a gradual "trust" built up.
What's very obvious on the racetrack today.
Amid a pitch full of shouting pressure.
The Junbi kids don't need to be yelled at.
Because...
1. Children have their own identity
The child chooses whether or not to compete.
No force. No punishment.
When he chooses, he is ready to take responsibility for that decision until the end.
2. The child has a safe bond with the teacher.
He was sure not to be scolded.
All he focuses on on the field is therefore only "himself" and "competitors."
So we don't have to shout.
But open up space for kids to think, solve games, and talk to teachers during breaks.
Kids, don't worry about that.
Will parents scold?
Is Coach scary?
Or will lose anyone's face?
Today, as an adult,
I believe everyone feels the same.
All the kids really fight at full strength.
Because together we create a safe environment.
Let the child "dare try to live" his way.
I originally intended not to launch a racing project in the first half of 2026.
But after seeing today,
I decided to open normally.
Because seeing a child's learning power is really very clear.
Anyway,
Children can choose for themselves.
To rest or to challenge new problems.
The teacher is always ready to walk aside.
