Eb, Uaxac, Chicchan
As the gears in the cosmic calendar turn and churn the fabric of time and space, we enter Eb, the sacred Road, as our Sun 🌞 rises into the eighth day, Uaxac, of the Chicchan trecena.
In Maya cosmology, Eb is the path of destiny, the sacred road each soul must walk. Associated with the South and the color yellow, Eb represents pilgrimage, health, service, and personal evolution. It is the winding journey of life, shaped by choice, movement, and growth. The Bobcat 🐾 moves with quiet strength and precision, while the Thrush 🐦 sings truth into the air and brings messages from spirit. Together, they teach us that the road is not always straight, but every step holds medicine.
Uaxac: The Number Eight
In Yucatec, Uaxac is the number of balance through material and spiritual integration. Eight holds the energy of justice, wholeness, and reciprocity. It offers stability to the spiritual seeker and calls us to walk with responsibility, humility, and grace.
Guardian of the 8th Day
The deity presiding over this day is Tlaloc, the Rain Lord. As guardian of the eighth day, Tlaloc brings nourishment, cleansing, and life force from the sky. His rains bless the path of Eb with fertility and vitality. He reminds us that the sacred road is fed not only by action, but by what we allow to flow, emotion, grace, and blessing.
The cosmic date is Uaxac (8), the day sign is Eb, within the Chicchan trecena. In Gregorian terms, this corresponds to August 27, 2025.
So again I ask: What would the OG Daykeepers advise as Chicchan’s serpentine energy flows through the destined walk of Eb and the harmonizing presence of Uaxac?
Today calls you to honor the journey, not just the destination. The Bobcat shows you how to walk with discernment, the Thrush how to listen and speak with heart, and Tlaloc brings the blessing of renewal. The road is sacred because you are walking it. Step mindfully, breathe deeply, and receive the rains. 🐾🐦🌧️
Reflection of the Day
All of life has been up and down for me. Good times and bad times, and the one thing that has remained constant is change. As a whole, my young life was dark and chaotic, but the universe threw me a lifeline. Eb, the Road, reminds me that we all walk paths full of crossroads, and I can see clearly how psychedelics brought me to one of those turning points. Some of my friends became gang bangers, and though we were all pulled into alcohol and cocaine, I was also pulled into raves and DeeJaying. They walked deeper into shadow, but I chose to follow the lasers into a brighter, more colorful world. That was my road opening before me.
Uaxac, the number eight, calls for harmony and balance. Looking back, I see how my choices brought me into greater alignment, guiding me away from destruction and into music, community, and eventually spirituality. Within the Chicchan trecena, life force rises, and that same energy flows now through my practice of reading the Tzolk’in each day. I reflect on how these energies fit into my own life and how they can guide me forward. The storms of my past, like the rains of Tlaloc, were painful, but they also nourished the seeds of who I was becoming. The Thrush reminds me to sing anyway, to find joy in the simple beauty of each day, and the Bobcat affirms the strength that comes from instinct and independence.
Now I walk with a deeper connection to nature and spirit, to my ancestors and to the sacred energies that govern each day. This is real, this is ancient love, and this is ancient guidance. I intend to carry it forward, not only for myself but for those who walk the road alongside me. And as Eb teaches, the path itself is the blessing, as long as we choose to walk it with balance and awareness.
