Comforting omakase with seasonal specials

Came here for their autumn menu which highlighted Japan’s seasonal specials like shirako and snow crab. Chef Eno presents a contemporary take on kappo style omakase with the seasons in mind. The dishes were thoughtful as flavours were enhanced with complimentary styles and high quality ingredients. I also appreciated her thoughtfulness in desserts as the apple sorbet went well with the creamy Hokkaido milk ice-cream and tea jelly + apple slice topping. Chef Eno was kind and hospitable as she prepared a small token of house green tea beer which had a floral fragrance to bring home, alongside other small gifts for our celebratory meal. Would come back to try other seasonal menu items.

At Ichigo Ichie, Chef Eno masterfully highlights seasonal specials that change throughout the year, ensuring every visit feels unique. One of the standout aspects is the use of regional delicacies – shirako is a prized ingredient admired for its rich, creamy texture, while snow crab adds a sweet, fresh dimension to the meal. Pairing these ingredients with premium sashimi and wagyu beef prepared in seasonal styles, the menu thoughtfully harmonizes flavors and textures. Moreover, the dessert offerings deserve a special mention. The apple sorbet combined with creamy Hokkaido milk ice-cream and tea jelly with apple slice topping is a refreshing end to the omakase, balancing richness with lightness. Such thoughtful dessert pairings are less common and show the chef's attention to detail. Ichigo Ichie also offers a variety of set menus like Kurenai and Akane that cater to different palates and budgets. The hospitality extends beyond just food – small tokens like house green tea beer and other treats enhance the celebratory atmosphere.
