God forbid a girl have some hobbies😅
Having personal hobbies that might seem unusual to others is something I’ve come to embrace wholeheartedly. For instance, reading the filthiest dark romance novels, often found in the #spicybooktok community, offers a thrilling escape filled with intense emotions and complex characters. I recently read works similar to Emily McIntire’s "Wolves Inside of Me," which blend gritty storytelling with passionate plots. On the flipside, assembling colorful LEGO sets is a creative outlet that allows me to relax and build something tangible. Being an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) means I can enjoy intricate designs and challenging builds, which balance my reading hobby perfectly. There really is nothing wrong with having both these interests side by side, even if some might stereotypically question it. In my experience, engaging in diverse hobbies enriches my life by stimulating different parts of my brain—imagination and creativity mingle with organizational skills and patience. For anyone hesitant, I encourage embracing what makes you happy, whether it’s dark romance literature, LEGO building, or anything else that sparks joy. These hobbies foster communities online too, where like-minded people share their latest book recommendations or their proudest LEGO creations. So, if you’re into spicy reads and colorful bricks, celebrate it! It’s a unique combination that challenges norms and encourages self-expression. Remember, hobbies aren’t about fitting in—they’re about finding what truly resonates with you.
