Totally Blind Junjun and Former Guide Dog Vivid
Looking at the woman in the photo with the white dog, I thought, "There is such a woman!" as my eyes became difficult to see.
This photo was of me six years ago.
Today, a friend from Chiba prefecture came to visit us after a long absence.
She was very depressed and worried about how to live from now on, when she saw this photo, she was shocked. 😍
I had heard it before, but I completely forgot.
And today a different story.
She used to think, "If you can't see, you can jump off the 12th floor of an apartment building," but now that feeling has completely disappeared, she has changed to a woman who enjoys life.
She also decided to have a guide dog.
Guide dogs still have social barriers.
I have been asked, "Why do you treat me like a slave?"
But for me, a guide dog is not a dove, but an existence that walks through life like a couple.
We live by helping each other.
They are not just here to walk the streets, but they are learning while facing each other with their bodies, without being able to speak or make eye contact.
The time we spend together is study, healing, and important life learning time.
Just as there are people who don't like working, people who like it, people who like to stay at home, people who love being outside, and so on, guide dogs have their own personality.
As far as I can tell, guide dogs love to go outside! 😍
I love going to different places! I enjoy music, and sometimes I'm fascinated by the sound of the ukulele when I listen to live music at concerts.
We can fly together, go abroad, and meet a lot of friends.
Someone once told me, "Guide dogs are happy to work, and they live a sharp life like humans."
Work, play, take a break. Few dogs can lead such a life.
I really thought so too! Certainly (laughs)
Spending time with my friends today gave me a lot of reflection.
